Observations on the Best College Dorm rankings:

All schools in the list are private schools.

Three of the Top 10 are all women's colleges (Smith, Scripps, and Bryn Mawr). Four if you count the fact that Bennington College was founded in 1932 as a women's college, but became co-educational in 1969.

None of the 10 most expensive college dorms made this list of best dorms, proving the more you spend does not necessarily get you "the best".
