mtvU makes effort to sign college bands
mtvU, MTV's 24-hour college network, has announced the launch of "Best Music on Campus" (BMOC), a new online music destination offering unsigned
college bands an opportunity to launch their careers. The site enables college students to build profiles
with songs, videos, pictures, blogs and more.
The best and most popular
artists will be recognized with:
- exposure on MTV, mtvU and mtvU.com
- the chance to open on mtvU tours and for emerging and established artists
- A record deal roughly every month of the year
- Chance to Perform on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien"
The program offers signed deals with Epitaph, Drive-Thru and Definitive Jux Records as well as spots on mtvU Tours
